Some people want to print information contained in a wiki on paper or view it on the desktop in linearized form.

Advantages claimed: feel of overview and closure of the content, better search context.

Is there better technology out there than selecting individual wiki page by clicking and arranging them in a certain order, or copy and pasting content by hand?

How to create a table of content (TOC) of a wiki automatically? How to do with dynamic changes of the content and their effects on the TOC?
