My research interests are in the usability of wikis, and also on the interplay between the world of wiki and the world of translation. 1 My Notes from WikiSym 2007 1.1 Wiki for Software Engineering Workshop 1.1.1 Wiki helped surmount fear of Agile S/W Develpment is very much dominated by fear, and coming up with heavy processes that will make you fearless. Agile is about exploring with the thing so that you become more at ease with its chaotic nature and are less fearful. Wiki allowed the community to explore agile concepts by writing about it. 1.1.1 Misunderstanding about Community Most corporations think about community as: * A way to give a group sales-pitch * A group on which to drop undesirable tasks (ex: translate documentation) But the power of community is to: * DO stuff with them that simply couldn't be done without them. 1.1.1 Cool idea about "How it should work" Community. Beside every button in the application is an "explore" button. If you click on the explore button, you see all the tests cases that ever pushed that button, and you can see them run.
